Everywhere you find promises about becoming successful – as an Entrepreneur, Speaker, Coach and how you create millions in your bank account. Is that Success?
Now the question is: What makes you a successful person and how do you achieve it? In fact, YOU are the only person to define what success means. The common sense that you need to earn millions (or even more) or to become a famous personality seems to be rather superficial. This kind of success is the way it is “defined” in our society – well you decide if you want to fit into that success pattern or nor. A financial freedom or security usually makes sense – but – why not having different kinds of values that describes your point of view concerning success?
Building a personal business empire might be the ultimate success for a business-focused person while being “the best midwife possible” could be the success-mindset for another person.
A recent example: I just read an article about a family from Argentina that was touring for 17-years the world in a 1928 Oldtimer, raising 4 children during their journey around the world. What if this was their greatest success in their lives? Did they live in financial wealth? – No, but in a way of freedom even wealthy people don’t know. None of the above mentioned criteria would match, yet I believe they were living this kind of freedom and experience was more valuable for them than any financial success. They have made a decision and took action. Was it always easy? I do not believe so but – who said it would be easy? Look at your life, is everything easy there?
Get focused on your purpose
In a world of distraction and information overkill it is absolutely essential to focus on what is really important to you, wether you want to climb the latter of your personal career or you want to publish your book, become Mr. Universe, be the “Governator” of California or become the best Hypnotist ever. To focus on your dream, on your goals and whatever is necessary to accomplish, is one success principle you need to be able to live.
What I can see in my work with my clients is quite often not only their massive loss of personal energy by information- or email overload, by trying to fulfill “external” requirements, Social Media Consumption etc. but much more the inability to see and/or to have clarity about their purpose in life. This purpose is what is guiding you, what is setting the guidelines throughout life and defining priority #1 in your life.
Success principles are the foundation, not the strategic formula to reach your goals and to fulfill your purpose. Principles are like the basic program of your “operational mode” by which your are running day by day, eben night by night. It’s not goals. It’s not milestones. It’s not strategy. Principles can be applied to every single topic, character or situation you are going to face during your life. Principles define your personality and therefore the way you think, act and live.
How can I insist on that fact?
As I am using a proven system (=strategy, process) to coach and teach people on the Samurai Success Principles, my purpose is to bring a change into the mindset of people, entrepreneurs and leaders. A change that has a massive impact on how we use our planetary resources, on how we deal with obstacles and challenges, how we treat people, communicate and live our life.
Besides a bunch of entrepreneurs who are consciously or maybe unconsciously using certain principles – like ethical bribes or a high quality mindset – Japan itself is more than proof of concept. Having been influenced by the Samurai way of life which included not only the use of weapons, but applying Zen Buddhism, Shinto Religion, behavioral rules and rituals, focusing techniques and more, a whole nation was rising after being destructed during WWII within 2 decades to become a leading industry nation – and still is 70 years after. Samurai way of life, what other call “Mindset”, was the foundation for that outstanding success story.
Looking at “Terminator” Arnold Schwarzenegger, listening to his principles will reveal to you a very similar thinking and living concept in which he is consistent, congruent and absolutely authentic. But it is not about the “mindset” itself. It is about becoming the mindset. It is about becoming consistent, becoming totally congruent and so completely authentic with what you today still see as “principles”. The moment these principles become your personal, unconscious competence and work as driving part of your personality, this is the moment when you “are” the principles and when nothing can throw you off track.
Principles? – So what?
As long as you still need to “apply” certain principles, you are not in the right state of mind and not in alignment with them. Every kind of mindset can be switched on and off – an experience I made working with a lot of hypnosis and coaching techniques. In order to achieve really outstanding success, in order to be really personally successful you need to completely integrate the principles as a true foundation of your personality.
Do the principles limit or restrict your thinking and actions?
NO – not at all. In contrary: Principles will serve you as kind of meta-decision tool you never ever have to think about again. They will become your ethical bribe, your “modus operandi” – the standard mode you live, think and act like. They will ease automatically your decision process because you know with every cell of your body, who you want to be, what you want to become, what is most essential to you and what kind of purpose of your life will serve. It will leave no space for self-doubt. It will leave no uncertainty. The clarity that will emerge will create the space in which you will live a fulfilling life, a life by which you define the kind of success you want to achieve.
The reason why I personally use and teach Samurai Success Principles for people like you with families likes yours are all of the above mentioned – and more. I love when my clients reach the state of clarity which enables them to live a life by design. Having formed that foundation you can add ANY system, strategy, field or process may it be a marketing Not being aligned with these mission critical principles, not being congruent with them in all aspects of your personality, your work and your language may, potentially even will destroy whatever you are building over time.
I personally recommend using principles that work – like the Samurai Principles that I am teaching 1:1 in personal coaching, 1:many in life workshops or online. I never have to think about my “why” again as well as I never have to question my approach. The Decision to use this way of life, to form your personality with Samurai Principles will lead you to clarity and outstanding results.
